My Husband an I went up to Montana for a wedding and spent a couple nights in Big Sky before hand. We stayed at the Big Sky resort in one of their 'condos' which was actually a beautiful cabin in the Mountains. He went fishing and I reserved a 'Mountain Momma' massage at their local spa....I was 25 weeks pregnant and it was fabulous!

We were traveling with some friends and took one of the ski lifts up to (almost) the top of Lone Peak. It was absolutely beautiful up there. We stopped by the local grocery store and got some food to grill and eat at the cabin, which ended up being a good call as it started snowing! We initially though, how cool maybe we will get a little dusting...WRONG! It snowed 8 inches and it was a winter wonderland on June 20th!

Our Trip was filled with little surprises from mother nature, we got all 4 seasons in 2 days in Montana and it was wonderful. It's things like this that remind me why I love traveling so much... this is home for one of our friends, and we got a little taste of it. Every time I travel, something unexpected forces me to step back and appreciate the place I am in, to watch the locals living their day to day lives, to take 15 minutes to just take in the scenery in silence. It's peaceful, it provides perspective, and mostly I end up feeling incredibly grateful for my experience.

After our Big Sky adventure, we headed to Helena MT where the wedding was. On the Drive we stopped in Bozeman to visit this cute Crystal/metaphysical shop and have lunch. The boys had beers while my girlfriend and I walked around the crystal shop, Dari Rasa Trunk Show. We could have stayed in there for house playing the singing bowls, flipping the oracle cards, swinging the pendulums and of course staring at all the different Crystals. Alas we only had about 20 minutes to spare and I left with this beautiful Rainbow Amethyst sprayed with Titanium. She has two termination points and reminded me of the mountains we had just left, these are the kinds of souvenirs I get now. No more t-shirts and shot glasses - rocks are more my thing!

Once we got to the hotel in Helena we reminisced with old friends and traded stories about the beginning of our journey. The wedding was beautiful, and it was great seeing the happiness the Bride & Groom shared. We made it home safe and were extra happy to see our old dog Jaxon Lou.
